Portfolio I - Instrumental Track
When making this instrumental, I wanted to produce something that had a certain mystery to it. Maybe a mystery horror film where the main characters are running low on time. This instrumental was made solely with virtual instruments.
Portfolio II - Sound Design
Portfolio II Sound Design
I had a unique opportunity to design, edit, and implement sound in two different video game worlds.
For the Graveyard project I needed to create a natural sounding ambience with wind and thunder to represent an approaching storm. Other sounds include the crackling of various fire pits around the level, randomized owl hoots, and a ghostly whisper.
For the Sci-Fi project I created an ambience that makes the player feel as if they were in a futuristic or sci-fi facility. I also designed an alarm that starts playing a few seconds after the player enters the world indicating that "the reactor core has been breached" and to "evacuate immediately". Other sound designs include the opening and closing of automated slide doors, the cpu and fan sounds of various servers around the world, and air burst sounds from the reactor core.
Portfolio II - Process Video
The following video demonstrates the process I used to create the ambient sound for the Sci-Fi Facility game world.
Portfolio II -Demo Reel
The following demo reel showcases environmental sound design, audio editing, and implementation for a Graveyard game world and a Sci-Fi Facility game world.

Memories - AP Presto
I didn't know where I was going with this at first but I ended up with an emotional piano and I wanted the lyrics to reflect that. The recording process went smooth and I was able to get clean recordings. When mixing, I wanted to create a beautiful dynamic while still keeping the energy of the song.

Skate Montage Music Production
Skate Montage Music Production
The following is a Skate Montage video that I produced a soundtrack for. I paid attention to the tempo of the video and adjusted my music project to match that. At certain times in the video there are actions happening that I wanted to capitalize on. To do this, I added in some crashes when a skateboarder would land their jump or trick (or not land it). There are certain parts of the video that slow down. For some of these slo-mo sections, I added in a riser sound effect. For others slo-mo parts, I combined the riser and the crash. When the video does quick chops between scenes, I tried to capture and carry the momentum by adding some hat/snare rolls in sync with the scene chops. I took no part in the video editing whatsoever. The only thing that I added to this was the music that you hear.

Song: "Run Run Run"
Song by: Arise
For this project I received the original stem tracks for the song "Run Run Run" by Arise. One of the first things I did was mix this song to sound similar to the original mix. Next, I edited the interlude to include a half-time tempo just to switch up the pace of the song for a couple bars before the outro. I added in a very quiet synth to the beginning of the track to add in some variation between the OG song and my remix. While mixing, I paid very close attention to the quality of the vocals. Most tracks had drum bleed on them but I solved that while editing with gates. The biggest challenge I faced was the bleed of the snare on the hi-hat track. I mitigated this bleed first with a gate, an EQ that cut the frequency the snare was hitting at, then with slight compression of the frequency that the snare was hitting at.
